COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO – U.S. Paralympics Cycling today announced the 26 athletes – 16 men and 10 women, including three pilots – that earned roster spots on its national team for the 2025 season. The 2025 team features 15 athletes who represented Team USA at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

As the team regroups from an action-packed 2024 season that saw both a Paralympic Games and a track and road cycling world championships contested, it sets its sights on not just the 2025 season, but the upcoming Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games.

“After winning eight medals in Paris, I’m excited about the direction this team is headed,” Ian Lawless, Director, U.S. Paralympics Cycling, said. “We are on the front end of what will be an exciting Paralympic quad heading into our first home Games since 1996. The athletes on this team are who we’re relying on to build the foundation for the team’s culture and performance for the next four years.”

Headlined by 2024 Paralympic champions Samantha Bosco (Claremont, California) and Kate Brim (Lowell, Michigan), who each won the first Paralympic gold medals of their careers in Paris, the roster also includes Paris silver medalist Dennis Connors (Beaverton, Oregon). The trio combined for half of Team USA’s eight Para-cycling medals in Paris, and two of its four Paralympic titles. All three went on to win titles at the 2024 UCI Para-Cycling Road World Championships, with Brim earning gold in both the WH2 time trial and road race. Bosco and Connors each nabbed a gold and a silver to round out their 2024 campaigns.

Also making the 2025 team are Paris bronze medalists Clara Brown (Falmouth, Maine), Elouan Gardon (Acme, Washington), and the duo of Travis Gaertner (Burien, Washington) and Matt Tingley (Rochester Hills, Michigan), who combined with Brim for third in the handcycle relay.

A two-time Paralympian and world champion, Brown earned the first Paralympic medal of her career in the WC3 road race, while Gardon brought home Team USA’s only track cycling medal at the Paris Paralympics. The 18-year-old, brand new to Para-cycling after competing against able-bodied athletes for much of his young career, impressed in his debut season, snagging Paralympic bronze in the MC5 pursuit while earning a world championships silver on the road in the MC5 road race in Zurich.

Three-time Paralympian Jamie Whitmore (Somerset, California), as well as Paralympian Hannah Chadwick (El Cerrito, California) and Parapan American Games champion Michael Stephens (Colorado Springs, Colorado) return to the national team roster after winning world championship medals in 2024.

Whitmore earned two podium finishes at the road world championships, while Chadwick and Stephenson along with their pilots took home bronze medals at the 2024 UCI Para-Cycling Track World Championships, which took place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in March. Stephenson will once again team with pilot Joe Christiansen (Lyons, Colorado), while Chadwick is set to pair with a new pilot this season after the retirement of Paralympic pilot Skyler Espinoza. Pan American Games track cycling medalist Elizabeth Stevenson (Rochester Hills, Michigan) will take over in the pilot’s seat for Chadwick.

The team will be building toward the 2025 UCI Para-Cycling Road and Track World Championships, set for Aug. 28-31, 2025 in Ronse, Belgium and Oct. 16-19, 2025 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, respectively.
